Acacia Lane Senior Apartments PDF Print E-mail

Due to break ground in October 2010, Acacia Lane Senior Apartments will be designed to provide an engaging and respectful living environment for low-, very low-, and extremely low-income seniors.  The project will be located on Acacia Lane at 4711 Sonoma Highway in Santa Rosa on a 1.32 acre vacant site that was purchased by PEP Housing in 2007.  The site plan includes 44-units and an attractive community room. Units will be one-bedroom, one-bath units, approximately 628 square feet each, with a private deck or balcony.  There will also be a two-bedroom manager’s unit, approximately 850 square feet.  The farmhouse-inspired development features three buildings (two residential and one community) which are clustered on the property to allow for ample space around the buildings in order to accommodate a small orchard, a foot path looping around the site, and garden plots.  Community spaces include a kitchen, reading room/lounge, laundry facilities, a manager’s office, landscaped grounds, and adequate on-site parking.  Additionally, there is a bus stop approximately a block away and a variety of shops and amenities within a ½ mile.

PEP Housing will make energy efficiency and environmental awareness a priority when building this project. In addition to utilizing energy-efficient building materials, all appliances will meet Energy Star ratings and a photovoltaic system has been incorporated into the design to reduce pollutants and demand on the power grid.
