Applications are now available for PEP Housing’s newest affordable housing development at 400 Casa Grande Road in Petaluma. Currently under construction, the new Casa Grande Senior Apartments will add 57 new, attractive one-bedroom apartments to the County’s affordable housing stock. Each apartment is approximately 627 square feet and includes a living room, all electric kitchen, bath, and bedroom with balcony or patio. Amenities include a “certified green” property, community room, landscaped courtyard, emergency call system, laundry facilities, bocce ball court, and a 100% smoke-free campus.

Eligibility requirements: 62 years of age or over, capable of independent living, meeting the Department of Housing and Urban Development (HUD) or Tax Credit program requirements.

Income limits:

  • 1 person — maximum income $27,250.00
  • 2 persons — maximum income $31,100.00

Rent for the HUD units will be 30% of annual adjusted gross income per month. Rent for the Tax Credit units will be $660.00 per month. Applicants are asked to indicate which (or both) types of affordable housing for which they are interested in applying.

Applications are now being accepted and can be downloaded from PEP Housing’s website or received via U.S. Mail by calling 707-762-2336 ext. 106. Completed applications should be returned to PEP Housing’s corporate office located at 951 Petaluma Blvd South, Petaluma, CA 94952.

Casa Grande Senior Apartments is scheduled for full occupancy by January 2009.
