A leader in building green housing, PEP Housing won a national award from Enterprise /MetLife in 2011 for Excellence in Affordable Housing, prestigious 2009 Governor’s Environmental and Economic Leadership Award (“GEELA”) for our Casa Grande Senior Apartments, Petaluma, in the Sustainable Communities category. Casa Grande was also an award finalist for the national Association of Home Builders (NAHB) National Green Building Award for Multi-Family Project of the Year. All new properties going forward will also be certified “Build It Green” properties. Examples of our green features include PV System powering all house panel loads, upgraded insulation throughout, sustainable exterior materials, low VOC paints, tankless water heaters, heater fan coils incorporated into the tankless water heater system, recycled carpeting, all construction waste recycled, ‘Low E’ windows, no formaldehydes used, low flow water fixtures, bathroom floors are all tile, drought-resistant landscaping, water saving drips system and bubblers, with upgraded weather trax system once initial plants have been established.
